Consider giving a guide trip as a gift! - New items just added to our merchandise page!

Fishing Report:
The Muskegon is at a pretty normal level for this time of year and trout fishing remains good, despite being the first of July, and 70 degree water.  The water is quite clear now and there are plenty of bugs to choose from. Last night Guide Leo Wright and I saw lots of gray drakes, isonychia, caddis, bwo, sulphurs, cahills and even a few white mayflies. Wet flies and dry flies are both producing lots of trout.  Our "Riffle Bugger" fry pattern has been very productive as steelhead fry are numerous and our "Gray Fall" drake spinner pattern is producing many fish on the surface. (See our Merchandise page for details). Pictured is Leo with a hefty brown from last night that ate a size 18 bwo on the surface. When releasing larger trout in this warm water please revive them well.

If you don't practice catch and release already, please consider it. The future of our quality fishery depends on you! "The fish you release may be a gift to another fisherman, as it may have been a gift to you." - Lee Wulff
